DAY 1: Transfer from Kutaisi Airport to Kutaisi

DAY 2: Kutaisi - Bagrati - Motsameta - Gelati - Nikortminda - Kutaisi

Our cultural exploration begins in Kutaisi, first visiting the majestic Bagrati Cathedral. From its privileged position on the hill, we will visually dominate the entire city before moving to a place of spectacular geography: the Motsameta Monastery. Dramatically located on a rocky promontory surrounded by the Tskaltsitela River, this sanctuary offers an atmosphere of deep spirituality and moving landscapes. Nearby, the Gelati Academy awaits us, a complex declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site that guards invaluable frescoes and the history of the Georgian Golden Age. Later, we will venture into the picturesque Racha region, famous for its mountain landscapes, where we will visit Nikortsminda Cathedral, a masterpiece of ecclesiastical architecture renowned worldwide for the intricate beauty of its stone reliefs and magnificent decorated interiors.

DAY 3: Kutaisi - Ushguli - Mestia

Today an epic journey awaits us as we ascend toward the highest peaks of Europe. From Kutaisi, we will travel to the remote Svaneti region to reach Ushguli, recognized as one of the highest continuously inhabited settlements on the continent (2,200 meters). This cluster of villages, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, seems frozen in time with its dozens of medieval defensive towers. There, under the imposing shadow of Mount Shkhara, Georgia's highest peak, we will walk along paths that bring us close to the base of its glacier and share moments with locals who keep the ancient Svan culture alive.

DAY 4: Mestia - Chalaadi - Hatsvali - Mestia

We will begin the day in Mestia with an immersion in wild nature, heading toward the Chalaadi Glacier. We will cross the bridge over the Mestiachala River and walk along a trail through forests and moraines until we reach the base of the eternal ice, feeling the fresh breeze from the glacier. After this invigorating hike, we will transfer to the Hatsvali mountain station. Here, if weather conditions are favorable, we will take the cable car to gently ascend to the Zuruldi ridge. This viewpoint is famous for offering one of the most impressive panoramas in the region with views of the mythical Mount Ushba and the elegant Mount Tetnuldi.
